The event that is depicted in the photographs displayed in part one is the Napalm Attack. The Napalm attack was an event that was obtained by the United States Air Force but took place in Vietnam in the year of 1971. The Napalm attack was a chemical like bomb that bubbled the skin of humans leaving behind scars and wounds on the victims.Napalm was an attack that left behind 2 of thousands of victims, a woman by the name of Nguyen Thi Thu Anh and a man by the name of Dao Xuan Dat they were both left damaged with scars for the rest of their lives. 2. Why are the photographs historically significant? The photographs are historically significant because they are very irreplaceable. The Pictures not only show what once happened in their lifetime but it also shows the history of what was once a part of their nation. The Photos represent history in so many ways because each picture tells and has its own story in which it tells the story of how the Vietnam war resulted in over time.
