Let’s also let a = oz of bottle A and b = oz of bottle B.

Bottle A is 70% acid 30% water
Bottle B is 20% acid 80% water

For the acid, we need 5 oz of a 65% acid solution or (0.65)(5) oz acid total

Because bottle A is 70% acid, it has 0.70*a oz of acid for every a oz. Same logic with B, it’s 0.20b oz of acid for every b oz.

So for the acid: 0.70a + 0.30b = 0.65*5

Write a second equation using this same logic for the water content

Then solve the system via elimination or graphing
