Even though opinions differ many guitarists do think that playing the acoustic steel string guitar is the most difficult out of any of the other guitar types.

Its because the strings are heavier and the height of the strings are higher than standard electric guitars.

Though you only really notice this for the first few months of playing, after this your fingers adjust and become stronger.
