If there had been a less of a competition then the trees would've of died, they would've thrived. And in their was a slight increase of water, it would help the trees grow better. so, the only thing that could possibly decrease the amount of trees and stop their growth, would be answer c, 'there was extremely cold seasonal weather in the area compared to the other year'. It's the only answer that could possibly make sense, unless there had been more story behind the question

well im glad you have explain your reasoning on why it is what you got but here at qc we dont give out the answer, what we do is help the person asking the question figure it out on their own, with our help. This isnt brainly were we tell the answer and give out an explanation on why it is what it is. I hope you understand :D
