martai:

A mouse eats some grain containing a kind of bacteria. The bacteria begin to live in the mouse's intestine where they get food and a place to live, but the mouse becomes very sick. This is an example of __. commensalism parasitism mutualism

Mooshroom:

So to help I'll give u the definition of each. commensalism means: "an association between two organisms in which one benefits and the other derives neither benefit nor harm." parasitism means: "the practice of living as a parasite in or on another organism." mutualism means: "the doctrine that mutual dependence is necessary to social well-being."

knowing this what do you think the answer is?

Mooshroom:

I think we could cross out mutualism since that is about social well-being. After that it leaves use with parasitism, and commensalism. Which do u think it is?
