A cutting plane is passing through a right regular hexagonal pyramid whose measure of one base edge is 8 inches. If the said plane parallel to and 6 inches from the base of the pyramid makes a section with an area of 18.5 sq. in. Find the altitude of the pyramid.

\[Area of hexagon=\frac{ 3\sqrt{3} a^{2} }{ 2 }\] Then apply Thales' theorem to calculate the altitude.
