The party planning committee has to determine the number of tables needed for an upcoming event. If a square table can fit 8 people and a round table can fit 6 people, the equation 150 = 8x + 6y represents the number of each type of table needed for 150 people.
I already did the other two questions but when I divided 204 by 8, I got 25.5. And I forgot how to round ;-;
help
The only options were 9, 10, 11, and 12
If anyone needs to see this
We are given \(\sf{y=9}\), which means all we need to do is plug it in and solve for \(\sf{x}\). So first off, plug \(\sf{y=9}\) into the equation. \(\sf{150=8x+6(9)}\) Now simplify the equation \(\sf{150=8x+54}\) I’ll let you solve for \(\sf{x}\).
I already did that but I got 204=8x
And I divided it already but I got 25.5
\(\sf{150=8x+54}\) You subtract 54 (from BOTH sides), you don’t add it \(\sf{96=8x}\) Now try dividing it
I did it!!
THNX SO MUCH
No problem ^^
