Is this grammatically correct: "... however,  I just saw it this morning"?

What comes before the …? It’s not grammatically correct if it’s not a full sentence… 💀

Darci:

I know it is not a full sentence, I just hoped to hear if this part of the sentence is correct. But if it is not possible to tell, here it is the full sentence: "Yesterday I received an email from the student I was supposed to have taught on June 5th, however, I just saw it this morning".

Extrinix:

“; however, I just saw it this morning” would be grammatically correct
