I wasnt 100 percent sure what it was so i used google as my source but the typical definition of Automated External Defibrillator is quote " A portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the life threatening cardiac arrhythmias" so basically its what the EMT's use to give people Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or (cpr) so instead of using hand compressions they use the machine to pump peoples chest and get their hearts running again.
