how do i find instantaneous rate of change given only a table

I'm answering this too the best of my knowledge so forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that If your only given a table to try and find the Instantaneous rate of change than it is probably more than likely equal to the slop so that being said you're going to go through the secant line with your 2 closest values to initially receive your answer and usually you take your values from the left and right of your initial answer and you use those as calculations.
