Chapter 1, Part 2 (cus now i have allllll day :D)
The voice, though unhuman, was not unkind. Though she was filled with apprehension, she felt safe with this robot. "Yes, uhm.. I was wondering how I can leave?" The robot's gaze bore into her own. "All entries are blocked. The store will close soon." Audrienne's heart filled with despair. "I- I have to stay here? All night?" She wanted to sob, but even in front of a robot, she'd feel vulnerable. She thanked the robot and walked away to wallow in her misery. She tried to get familiar with the aisles, seeing as she would be in this store for a while. She saw other workers, faces as blank as the first worker she encountered. She trusted them far less than him. Then she heard an announcement blaring. "1 hour till closing, folks! Make sure if you don't plan to leave tonight, you have a hiding place. Our workers don't like intruders. That is all!" Click.
