To learn more about an author's diction, you ask: A. Are the sentences and paragraphs organized in an interesting way? B. Do I like the connotation of the words the author has chosen to use? C. What is the meaning and effect of the words the author has used? D. What techniques has the author used that I can use in my writing?
I thinking its C
Well you need to understand what “diction” means, and it’s pretty much the author’s choice of words that help develop the effect that the article of writing has on a reader. So from that, what would you think it is? (Seeing as you already said C, any option changes from that?)
Well the author diction is a way to show the idea of what he is writing. So since it asked me what i would ask to find the author diction Im thinking it would either be C or D
Let’s rephrase option D for you, you’re right with C, but I want you to understand why D wouldn’t fit in the correct choice. “Can I use the techniques the author used in my own writing?”
oooh so D is just saying that I would use his words in my story which isnt really helping me find the author diction
Exactly!
ok so i did get it right for c tho
Yes, you did ^^
