jariah:

A team in science class placed a chalk mark on the side of a wheel and rolled the wheel in a straight line until the chalk mark returned to the same position. The team then measured the distance the wheel had rolled and found it to be 35 cm. To the nearest tenth, what is the area of the wheel?

Vocaloid:

when the chalk mark returns to the same position, the wheel has travelled one circumference. the circumference of the circle is therefore 35cm. circumference = C = pi * d plug in the circumference, calculate the diameter, d from there, divide d by 2 to get the radius, r finallly, area = pi * r^2. plug in the radius and evaluate the area.
