So to calculate the median, we find out the number of inputs and put them in numerical order. (Adding Lincoln and Washington schools together) {20, 40, 90, 190, 260} Now, we see how many values we have (5) and divide it by 2, which gives 2.5. Now in order to find the mean, round that number up (to 3), and count to that number. 20 > 40 > 90 So 90 would be your median.

Extrinix:

Now to find the mean, you add all of the values together and divide by the number of values. {20, 40, 90, 190, 260} Added together: 600 \(\sf{\dfrac{600}{5}}\) = 12 So your median would be 12

To find the mode, you see which numbers repeat the most in the set, so all values need to be considered. [120, 140, 80, 110, 60, 30, 30, 10, 10, 10] Now, the mode is what number repeats the most, so this is how many times each value repeats itself: 120: 1 140: 1 80: 1 110: 1 60: 1 30: 2 10: 3 This means that your mode would have to be 10, as it is the most recurring value.
