What is a polynomial and how do I figure one out?

jhonyy9:

what you think what is the difference between a monomial and a polynomial function ?

Spectrum:

XD, I haven't heard both of those words before, I just started as a Freshman. We had a pre-assessment in Algebra 1 CP to see what we know and I didn't know the word so I figured I would find out.

Spectrum:

Do you think you can help me understand what a polynomial is?

jhonyy9:

,,A polynomial is an algebraic expression that shows the sum of monomials. A monomial is an expression in which variables and constants may stand alone or be multiplied. A monomial cannot have a variable in the denominator. You can think of a monomial as being one term."

jhonyy9:

for more details look on this site : https://examples.yourdictionary.com/examples-of-monomial.html

Aubrie999:

To find one add up the exponents of each term and select the highest sum.
