Imagine that your best friend tells you that he doesn’t think the water cycle is important. What would you tell him?

I’d argue it’s important for everyone to have a basic scientific understanding of the water cycle we all use water in our daily lives. For example, when humidity is high, car windows fog up due to condensation from the moisture in the air. If a person understands the water cycle they’d understand why their mirror is fogging up and what they can do about it.

I’d also argue that it helps us understand environmental issues like flooding, droughts, water pollution, etc. that can affect us as well.
