lifewmylilweeb:

can you screenshot the steps

Ferrari:

4x + 3x = 7

Sharkattack123:

4x + y = 7 y = 3x x = 1 Y= 3

Ferrari:

x = 1

Ferrari:

4 + 3 = 7

lifewmylilweeb:

how did you guys get the answers

Sharkattack123:

4x + 3x = 7 7x = 7 x 7/7 x=1

Sharkattack123:

Y= 3

Extrinix:

Alright give me a second.

Extrinix:

So first off you need to replace the y=3x equation in for the "y" value of the first equation. 4x+3x=7 Next you'd need to solve for x (but first, simplify it). 4x+3x = 7x 7x = 7 Now you just divide both sides by 7 to get x by itself. \(\sf{\dfrac{7x}{7}}\) = \(\sf{\dfrac{7}{7}}\) This means that x would be equal to 1 since 7 divided by 7 is 1.
