Gucchi:

Olivia wrote a few steps to describe how carbon circulates between the atmosphere and the land. Step 1. Carbon is released into the atmosphere by the burning of fossil fuels. Step 2. Carbon is absorbed by plants in the process of photosynthesis. Step 3. Carbon is stored in plants and stored in the soil when they die. If step 2 is removed, which statement best describes the effects of this missing step on the carbon cycle? Less carbon is stored in the ground. Less carbon will build up in ocean waters. More carbon is stored in animals. Less carbon is absorbed into the ocean.

Gucchi:

am i right with C? not sure.

Gucchi:

wait so would i go with C?

Ferrari:

Yes.

Ferrari:

I noticed brainly said C, but to back it up, I looked up the answer choice in reliable sources rather than the problem to figure out the reliability of the answer.

Ferrari:

Sorry that took so long I couldn't find the word for reliability 💀

Gucchi:

@vocaloid would you agree?

NerdyLizard:

It looks more like A to me. Just following what the question says that is. Since plants lead to the storage of carbon in the Earth, the skipping of step two would lead to less carbon in the Earth.

More carbon is stored in animals.
