Timmyspu:

I just started using kali Linux and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks that they could show. @ultrilliam do you have anything you could show me?

Extrinix:

What type of tips and tricks are you looking for?

Timmyspu:

Just any you are willing to give

Extrinix:

Well, I'd recommend looking at Kali Linux Tutorial (2022), it might help you look for any specific details. I use mostly Ra(sp)ian (Debian based as well), so I'm not of much help on the Kali Linux side.

Timmyspu:

Ah. I wanted to learn kali Linux using a virtual machine

There are plenty of tips and tricks for using Kali Linux. Here are a few that could be useful for you: 1. Familiarize yourself with the command line interface. Although Kali Linux has a graphical user interface, most of the powerful tools are command-line based. 2. Keep your system up-to-date. Kali Linux is constantly being updated, so it's important to regularly run updates to keep your system secure. 3. Learn how to use the package manager. Kali Linux has its own package manager called "apt", which makes it easy to install, update, and remove software. 4. Take advantage of Kali's pre-installed tools. Kali Linux comes with hundreds of pre-installed tools for penetration testing, network analysis, and more. Take some time to explore what's available. 5. Join the Kali Linux community. There are many online resources available for Kali Linux users, including forums, blogs, and social media groups. Joining these communities can help you learn more about the system and connect with other users. I hope these tips are helpful for you!
