Seems as though he/she isn't talking to an audience so you can knock emotional appeal out of the question.

A metaphor is when two diff topics are used in a specific manner so, that could explain her answer towards it..
But it could also be rhetorical because she asked a question that wasn't really a question she wanted to answer..
An allusion is an indirect reference to a poem/classic literature/literature.. guhh.
