So to start off you figure out what parts the total revenue with commissions is, as usual, base pay is always subtracted out to reveal the amount of commissions received.
$\sf{59238 - 31050 = 28188}$

So you have $28,188 in commissions. Now, given we have the commission amount and the total sales amount ($97,200), we can the find the commission rate by solving for the rate using this formula.
$\sf{commission = sales \times commission~rate}$

This is our current inputs:
$\sf{28188 = 97200 \times r}$

Since you wanted me to be quicker, you can solve for the y.
