Pinkalicious13:

A small ball of mass 2.00 kilograms is moving at a velocity 1.50 meters/second. It hits a larger, stationary ball of mass 5.00 kilograms. What is the kinetic energy of the system after the collision if the collision is elastic? A. 2.25 joules B. 3.00 joules C. 4.80 joules D. 5.12 joules

If the collision is elastic then the KE before and after remain the same. At the beginning, only the 2.00kg ball is moving at 1.5 m/s. You can use the KE formula (1/2)mv^2 using that mass and velocity to calculate the KE.
