Vocaloid:

this is a bit late, but read the text(s) and think about: - the author's claim (what is the author trying to say or argue?) - the type of reasoning (deductive, inductive, or abductive) the author uses to support their claim brief explanation of each type: in deductive reasoning, you start with general rules and use those to come up with conclusions about specific situations in inductive reasoning, you go the other way around. you start with specific examples and form general rules based on those examples in abductive reasoning, you start with an "incomplete" observation (an observation that does not exactly give you all the information you need) and try to form some prediction based on that - specific evidence that the author uses. like specific quotes, situations, examples, etc. the author mentions to help support their claim. - rhetorical appeals/devices. specific techniques that the author uses to support their argument. I'll link a list below. you don't need to memorize them, simply skim and understand some techniques and see if you can identify them in the passage. https://www.ccsoh.us/cms/lib/OH01913306/Centricity/Domain/207/Rhetorical%20Devices%20List.pdf
