how you understand this question ? a number is 100% of it self so a number is one hundred percent of itself

georgia45:

Well you can divide it from 100

JustBeNice:

Divide it by the whole and multiply by 100. For example, 12 apples are chosen out of 20. What percent of apples are chosen? 12/20 = 0.6 * 100 = 60%.
