Can someone tell me what the best ways to naturally clean gemstones without all the professional jewelry cleaners? Some sources on the internet say that a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar is good to clean them while others say that baking soda and white vinegar isn't good for cleaning gemstones as it can damage them; and using warm water with mild dish soap is the best option. I have however, tried the dish soap technique and it barely works. I have to soak the stones in a bowl of water with the soap for a total of 3 to 4 days before I see any results of it working so I tried the baking soda and white vinegar technique and within 9-11 minutes I started seeing the results I was wanting but I'm wondering… Is the baking soda technique good or bad to use or should I use a completely different method? The internet has confused me. I don't know what I should trust and not trust regarding this. Please help! Thanks!
