I am writing a story based on this plot idea, so don't steal it.

(Horror and Romance)

This girl named Sadie lives in a house with her aunt and her younger cousin. She use to live with her dad but hes in jail for many reasons. 1 year later, the dad dies from a illness going around in the prison. A week after the dad dies, Sadie expreneces weird stuff going on, like knocking, banging, whispers, etc. Her and her friend decided to get a Quija board and founds out its Sadie's dad haunting her. But then the dad finds out Sadie has a boyfriend and the dad links himself to the boy and tries to kill him and every other friends has to try and send the dad down to hell.

Well it's lookin good so far. But why is the dad haunting her? Hauntings happen usually bcuz the person 1) has unfinished business 2) thinks the other person has wronged them in some way 3) is angry at the world and believes a certain set of ppl, or all ppl made their life rough

Determine what type of ghost the father is perhaps. It sounds like a poltergeist, but there's a lot of types of ghosts to choose from.
Ouija*
Since it's a ouija board they can't know 10000% if it's her father, so many there can b a debate happening as to whether or not it is indeed her father, or something else pretending to b her father. Just a suggestion ^^
how does someone send a malevolent being down to hell ? maybe create a ritual based on other rituals that r similar to that concept

Thanks for the idea The father comes back because he hates his daughter and wants to ruin her life, because she ruined his life by being born, because she was an accident, and the mother left leaving him to take care of a child. I may also make it so they just guess its the dad and not do the oujia board. I may not make it so its not going to hell but just stoppes the ghostly events.

I will def do reserch. I'm not that good with knowing ghost stuff. I'm still not sure on this plot, it was just an idea. btw, lol
