Sorry no one got back to you sooner :( But, to start, the distributive property says that we can take the number outside the parentheses and multiply it to each number inside the parentheses individually. In your example, Option D is an example of what we call the Associative Property of Multiplication. This means we are just changing where the parentheses go, which means this can be eliminated. Then, we can eliminate option B. This is because on the left of the equals sign, we have \[-8(2-14)\] but if you look closely, on the right side it says -8 * -2, but our 2 was positive. Now, we are left with options A and C. From the description in the beginning, do you have a guess as to which you think is correct and why?
