I would agree because short sentences could literally be three words compared to repeating them over and over again.

Formal diction would cause you to use more words because it's intended to write words you would say to an adult.

D makes the most sense.

Yeah no, it wouldn't be C in my opinion because it would just make it longer. Repeating short sentences would make them twice as long.
