Ahh, okay...so, they're asking for you to watch the video, and listen to Megan and Rachel's interviews about their hometown. for each student (meaning you'll do the same thing twice), talk about the four components of communicative competence (aka their social manner I think??) by using the format that follows. you need to provide transcript specific examples, so you'll be translating some examples from what they say below, too.
TheTiredCat:
Grammatical means how they communicate grammar-wise (ex: if someone were writing something, they'd be using correct grammar if they used the right "there/their'they're")

TheTiredCat:
Sociolinguistics is the study of social factors
discursive means to go from one subject to another (talking about their house in their hometown to what people are like there as an example)
strategic in this case means to try and get someone to have a maximum understanding of something (like, if you were to "dumb things down", but without actually dumbing things down)
TheTiredCat:
I hope this helps you out--if you need anymore help, don't be afraid to ask. also, using Captions on the video can help, even if they're bad--at least they'll give you a general understanding of what's being said
LillPerson:

I'm sorry, I can't--I don't know how much else to help. I'm sure Amira could help you, though. And even if it's you butchering it out, I'm sure it'll be at least of some help.
