Triangle ABC is a 45-45-90 triangle. Each of the two legs CB and BA are therefore equal to each other. Since the whole segment BAG is made up of two segments AB and AG, then segment AG is BAG - AB. Finally, since triangle AEG is a 30-60-90 triangle, and the segment AG is across from the 30 degree angle, that means GE is the length of AG * sqrt(3).
