Tbone:

Why are humans the only animals who drink another animals milk and use it on a day to day bases?

LILBOY:

bc ours bones will have to use the VE2 in the milk so our bones get stronger

But if we never drank milk maybe we would have evolved to produce that

LILBOY:

nope our bones would be to weak

SaltTheLoser:

We just happened to find out that milk has benefits only because we've evolved and we have higher intellect but other animals would drink milk from other species if they had a way to do it

Shadow:

There is such a thing as cross species nursing (a momma dog nurses an orphaned kitten) but you do appear to be correct that this doesn't necessarily naturally occur.

Tbone:

Huh, thanks y'all this has been bugging me for about a week

SaltTheLoser:

Fun fact milk from a male has added benefits

I'm sorry what??? They can produce milk?!?!?

SaltTheLoser:

Yep

SaltTheLoser:

It don't taste as good

Tbone:

Nothing with good benefits tastes good, nor is cheep

Shadow:

As for why, we're just the only ones who do or are capable of domesticating animals and being able to farm them for milk. There's examples of other species farming others (through mutually beneficial relationships) such as ants and aphids, but when it comes to mammals I think it just gets more tricky. More than likely it's because in the wild mammals and animals just look out for their own.
