if 2 lbs of chocolate chips costs $3.40 then each lb costs 3.40/2 = $1.70
using the same logic for the raisins, 4 lb costs $1.80 so each lb costs $1.80/4 = $0.45

from there, look at the recipe. 1 lb of chocolate chips + 3 lbs of raisins. so you can simply multiply the cost of 1 lb of raisins, by 3, and then add on the cost of 1 lb of chocolate chips, to get the total cost.
