Frankie's lawn measures 38 yd by 33 yd. In the morning, he mowed 2/3 of the lawn. How many square yards of lawn did he already mow? How much is left to be mowed?

Calculate the total area of the yard by multiplying the length and width, 38 yd by 33 yd. He mowed 2/3 of the lawn so multiply the previous area by 2/3 to get the area mowed. To get the amount left, simply subtract (whole area) - (area already mowed)
