Question

Chapter 1 of my book is finished, working on chapter 2

It was a brisk, fall night. Leo was was walking down the street, heading home after a long day of working hard. He never liked walking home on his own. It was strange and terrifying at night where he lived. He jumped when he heard a movement from the bushes. He walked quickly to his house and locked the doors. He went upstairs, he took his shirt off, when he heard a window break. He went to his closet, grabbed a bat and walked downstairs. Leo was terrified. He saw the broken glass and saw muddy footprints just outside his door. There was a hall closet from his back door into the kitchen. He thought the person might be in there, so he quickly opened the door, but when he did, someone came up behind him and covered his mouth with a rag. Leo passed out.

About fifteen minutes later, Leo woke up with water dripping from his face. He tried to move but he figured out he was tied down to the chair. He looked around where he was and saw that he was in his basement. He didn't see anyone, but there was one spot of the basement in which it was very dark. A faint, but deep voice called out from the shadows. "Hey there, Leo". All he was thinking was, "How did he know my name?". Leo kept asking himself this question until finally, Leo said, "Who are you?!". The person stepped out from the shadows and had a black mask on. The person said, "I am your stalker, I've watched you every day since first grade, I wanted to talk to you and kiss you, but I was to afraid of my dad and what others think."

Leo was shocked. He didn't think of that as a response to his question. Leo had one more question. "What's your name?". He responded, "My name is Enzo." Leo didn't remember him. He wanted too, but couldn't. Enzo said, "You may not remember me, but I never forgot you, I was obsessed with you." Leo felt bad, but at the same time, relieved. Leo knew if he was obsessed with him, then Enzo wouldn't hurt him, he was correct. Leo was very good at untying knots. He managed to untie the ropes as Enzo got close to him, but instead of running, Leo stayed. Enzo lifted up a small part of his mask for him to only see his mouth. Enzo took Leo's face in his hands, pulled him closer and kissed Leo. Enzo stepped back and said, "I've been waiting for that kiss forever". Enzo saw that Leo had untied himself. "Why haven't you ran, yet?". Leo realized that he knew.

Enzo pulled his mask down and stepped back into the dark corner. Leo stood up and right before he went to go upstairs said, "I'll see you again." Enzo was confused and closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes, he wasn't in the basement, instead he was in the halls of his elementary school. Enzo looked at his hands and then ran to the bathroom. He was shocked, he was back in his elementary school in his younger body. He went back to the hallway and looked around trying to remember where his classroom was. A teacher walked up behind him and said, "This way, Enzo". He remembered this was his teacher and memory's came flooding back. He sat down at his table. Enzo looked at the teacher and saw a kid standing behind her. It looked like he was scared. The teacher said, "Class, we have a new student, Leo". Enzo remembered that today was Leo's first day of school.

"Would anyone raise their hand, so Leo may sit with them?". Enzo wanted to change his future, so he raised his hand. "You may go sit over there by Enzo, Leo." The teacher replied. Leo walked over to Enzo's table and sat down. The teacher told them that today they were just gonna make a glitter art work. Enzo smiled. Leo looked over at Enzo and felt his cheeks turn light red. Enzo started to pour glue and glitter all over his paper. Leo giggled and did his art work neater. Enzo looked over, put his hand in his some glitter and put in on Leo. They both started laughing, until the teacher told them to go get cleaned up in the bathroom. They ran to the bathroom, laughing. They were having so much fun. Enzo was washing his hands. Leo looked over at Enzo, "He looks so cute". Enzo got a wet paper towel and helped Leo get the glitter off his face.

Leo looked at Enzo's lips. Enzo gave him a hug and said, "I'm so glad, your my friend, we are going to be friends forever." Leo smiled and said, "Yeah, friends forever." They walked back to class, Leo was devastated, but Enzo was happy. Enzo asked him, "Want to come to my house tonight and have a sleepover?" Leo smiled, "Yes". Leo and Enzo finished the school day and Enzo waited for Leo after telling his mom. Enzo and Leo ran to his dad's car. Enzo opened the door and they piled in to the back seat together. Enzo's dad said, "I see you have a new friend." Enzo nodded. They arrived at the house. The boys came running out of the car, anxious to start playing inside. Enzo's dad opened the door, let Leo run inside, but pulled Enzo back and said, "You guys are just friends, right? You don't have a crush on him, do you?" Enzo replied, "No, father" and ran to his bedroom, grabbing Leo's hand along the way. Enzo locked his bedroom door and started to play with some of his toys with Leo. A few hours later, Enzo's dad came to Enzo's door and banged on it saying, "Open this damn door, son" and "When I get in there, I am going to kill you." Leo had fallen asleep, but Enzo was shaking with fear. His dad managed to knock the door open, he saw Leo was asleep and dragged Enzo by his hair into the living room. He beat him till blood covered his entire face. His dad left him on the floor and drove off. Enzo tried to get up, but failed. He tried to get Leo, but Leo didn't here anything. Enzo kept pulling himself closer and closer to the bathroom. It was when Leo woke up to use the bathroom, when he saw Enzo. Leo screamed and didn't know what to do. Enzo spoke softly, "Grab a paper towel and some water. Leo ran to the bathroom and hurried, he ran back to Enzo and helped clean his face. Leo was so scared he was going to lose his best friend. Enzo knew that he wasn't going to die but would be very weak for a few hours. Enzo closed his eyes for what felt like three hours. When he woke up, he had only fell asleep for thirty minutes. He saw that Leo was right next to him and saw that he was completely healed. Enzo got u on his knees and hugged Leo. "Whatever you did Leo, thank you so much." Leo smiled. They went back to Enzo's room and feel asleep on his bed.

They woke up the next morning, Enzo gave Leo his backpack and his mom came to pick him up. Leo waved goodbye to Enzo as he got in his mom's car. Enzo got ready for school, grabbed his bag and waited for the bus. Enzo arrived at school, he ate breakfast then went to his classroom. He sat in his chair and waited for Leo. When he was waiting, a few kids came up to him and made fun of his clothes. They also introduced themselves lie they were the most popular kids ever. They started with the person on the right, Simon. Then the person on the left, Luke. And finally the most "popular" student in first grade, Mateo. Finally, Leo arrived and he walked up to the table. Mateo said, "Why do you sit with this loser? You're rich, you should hangout with us and not this poor kid." Leo was mad. "Get away, I don't care, he's my friend, unlike you guys." Enzo smiled. The teacher walked in and everyone took their seats. The teacher began talking about how today we were going to practice our math problems.
