Nico2012:

What did German soldiers call American soldiers?

lostdemon:

Ami i think?

Arieonna:

it was AMI

Tyrun:

Amiii

bluebonnets:

The german soldiers called the american soldiers AMI's because "Ami" or "Amis", is short for American, not nasty - just slang. It took on deeper meaning during the cold war, but was fairly neutral at the time of WWII when first used.
