I'm trying to find a way to make my own book--I'm choosing Google Docs because it's easier and isn't as hard to share and keep across platforms and devices, but I don't know how exactly it should look, since I'm going to try and possibly publish it...any suggestions/ideas?

No--I want to do it on my school laptop since that's usually when I'm most motivated, and because it's the fastest thing I'm able to type on. My laptop has blocked most if not all apps besides the required ones for school purposes.

Different laptops of schools have different things blocked and/or unblocked. Again, I'm using Google Docs. I'm not using Book Creator. I've said this and that's that. I will not be using Book Creator.

it's not going to be a manga--and i don't really have a background ready, yet. i just don't know what to put in or how--things such as having a heading only be on the main heading of the first page, and how to have a background fully placed on the front page of the novel--things like that.

i know how to do the heading part--i mean like...things like having a background image (which would be the front cover) not cover up things like the heading, things like that.

so if u go to image options, there's dis thing called text wrapping and one of ze options is "behind text" which would allow writing to b on top of the image basically

tysm!! i didn't know if I'd have to basically make the title apart of the book itself or what...so this helps a lot. i've found out how to number the pages i want to, too...so thankfully that's been sorted out, too. tysm!!

tysm!!! i hope it does well, i've done great with any previous journals (literally was forced to do pre-ap english the following year, barely passed -_-") so hopefully things will do good!!
