Marlin24k:

My brother is in Kindergarten and he want's to know what "2+2" is, tried explaining but he doesn't listen and he repeats that i don't try to help him, Help?

Astrid1:

What have you tried so far for him to learn it and listen? Maybe use something he likes as an example (Such as fruit snacks and put two and two next to each other and then have him count how many are in front of him?)

Astrid1:

And if he get's it right he gets the fruit snacks.

Marlin24k:

Iv'e tried goldfish, M&M's, but he loves fruit-snacks so maybe that'll work.

NotLeiland:

I was going to say use favorite snacks but you got that down already haha.

Marlin24k:

I mean i could also use like money too.

Tyrun:

Yh give him a treat after that helps

Marlin24k:

He's a pain in the a ss to teach.

Tyrun:

I mean

Tyrun:

He likes moving around?

Marlin24k:

He has ADHD

Tyrun:

Do sum that would have him moving around and also learn

Tyrun:

Thats what helps me

Marlin24k:

I mean i have way's but he always refuses unless he get's a snack during the process.

Tyrun:

Then do that

Tyrun:

That might help give him sum to fidget with to

He is five years old there is no way he has ADHD it's called no discipline if he can't sit still and learn remember HE IS FIVE YEARS OLD five year old want to move around their brain is still developing and they'd much rather be doing something. Else like playing with toys or watching TV not stupid math

NotLeiland:

If he has ADHD, try something that will catch his attention. Does he like little cars?

If he likes hotwheels/matchbox cars maybe try those. Not only will he be learning, but he will have something to play with and keep busy

Tyrun:

Yh give him toys

Tyrun:

Like a fidget spinner sum like dat

Marlin24k:

I also spoil him, so he get's to watch t.v and play with toy's during math, so don't start.

Tyrun:

Have him fidgeting while he learns

It's called being a child tyrun his brain isn't full developed the child wants to move around and can't sit still me all my siblings and all my friends siblings are the same or were when we were that young

Tyrun:

Then learn not to spoil him

Marlin24k:

He's like my child.

Tyrun:

Bro tbone

Tyrun:

This is scientifically proven

Marlin24k:

He looks exactly like me and i take care of him all the time

Tyrun:

You cant go against that bruh

Tyrun:

Yes discipline is key

Marlin24k:

Then dont ;-; Speaking from the big brother side of my I've found very different ways to make them listen. Get creative turn off the TV take away all the distractions

Astrid1:

Use the same idea I had used for the fruit snacks. This will at least get him motivated to do his work. Turn off the Television and any distractions and tell him he won't be able to watch TV or play with whatever until he finishes said questions. (such as 2+2)
