Two guys by the name of Valentine (both of them) were executed and Valentine's day was created in memorial of them.

Yeh and dat holiday just got associated w/ Lupercalia, a pagan holiday dat falls on February 15th and celebrates health, fertility, and ze city of Rome. Could've been one of ze rituals done on dat day just ended up being meshed together w/ St. Valentine ykyk
