At 0 hours there would be 6000 light bulbs because that's how many they start out with. They pack 1,200 every hour for the next 5 hours. So the linear equation would be y=1200x+6000 and you would put 5 in place of the x so your answer for how many light bulbs there are at 5 hours would be 12000

If the equation is y=1,200x +600, to determine how many lightbulbs were packaged after 5 hours, we would do 1,200(5) and get 6,000, not 12,000.
