How might our society look different if it weren't for civil rights activists and groups

Lars:

Well, without civil rights activists and groups, there wouldn't be a way to repress climate change, and handle racism. "The Civil Rights Act of 1964 hastened the end of legal Jim Crow. It secured African Americans equal access to restaurants, transportation, and other public facilities. It enabled blacks, women, and other minorities to break down barriers in the workplace." https://www.loc.gov/exhibits/civil-rights-act/epilogue.html#:~:text=The%20Civil%20Rights%20Act%20of%201964%20hastened%20the%20end%20of,down%20barriers%20in%20the%20workplace . It would be harder to protect the health/safety/well beings of the disabled, older people, children, etc.
