Should there be real world consequences for what someone posts on social media?
It is freedom of speech- ( Unless you are bullying people even still you cannot give consequences- ) Whatever can be freely said on social media- unless it's about harming people in ways- then it'll be flagged but no punishment or consequence will ever happen- unless like, account banning- or they get suspended from the website, but other than that no it shouldn't be a real-world consequence.
There have been cases of where what people have posted on social media, have been taken up to court for what they've posted. In the screenshot linked, it shows a user who threatened to either shoot up a place with the said vest pictured on the kitchen counter top.

Yes, there can be real-world consequences for what someone posts on social media. Social media platforms are a public space and anything posted on them can potentially be seen by a large audience, including potential employers, friends, and family members. Posts that are discriminatory, offensive, or otherwise harmful can lead to negative consequences, such as loss of employment opportunities, damage to personal relationships, and even legal action in some cases. It's important to remember that what we post online can have an impact in the real world, and to be mindful of the content we share on social media. It's always a good idea to think before posting and consider the potential consequences of our actions.
