You’d solve for x the same way you’d solve a regular equation. I’m not going to do all of them but I can walk you through #1 and let you try the rest on your own. 1. 2 + 3x < 5 Subtract 2 from both sides 3x < 3 Divide both sides by 3 x < 1 It also asks to graph the solution on a number line. Because x is less than 1, we exclude 1, and thus draw an open circle on x = 1. Then, because x is *less* than 1, we draw an arrow from the circle pointing left to represent all numbers below 1.
