the pyramid is just weird looking and my eyes just confuse me more when I look at it

First you would find the area of the base of the pyramid (using the 5 as height and 8 as the base of the triangle there), and then once you have that you put it into the formula for a pyramid's volume, which is 1/3 * base area * height (which is 7 for the pyramid)
