Dom's Pizza Company uses taste testing and statistical analysis of the data prior to marketing any new product. Consider a study involving three types of crusts (thin, thin with garlic and oregano, and thin with bits of cheese). Dom's is also studying three sauces, (standard, a new sauce with more garlic, and a new sauce with fresh basil). a) Illustrate a tree diagram for all possible combinations. b) How many combinations of crust and sauce are involved?
So I'm not sure how to work this, so bare with me here. (Anyone if I am wrong feel free to correct me at any given time) So I wouldn't know what a tree diagram looks like though I'd imagine it looks somewhat of a tree. So if we're looking for how many different combinations with crust and sauce we can have let's look at it this way. Starting off with the thin crust we can have: Thin crust+standard sauce Thin crust+garlicky sauce Thin crust+fresh basil Then we move onto our next type of crust, garlic and oregano(GO for short) crust GOcrust+standard sauce GO crust+garlicky sauce GO crust+fresh basil Then we move onto the cheesy bitted crust(cheese stuffed) Cheese stuffed crust+standard sauce Cheese stuffed crust+garlicky sauce Cheese stuffed crust+fresh basil
So In total that would be 9 available combinations and I got stuck after that
