would you guys know how to solve this?

Kimberly44:

Luigi0210:

You have to match up the variables so you can subtract/add them to 0.

thakss

Luigi0210:

So given these: \[ -3x+2y=31\] \[4x-5y=-46\] It might be easiest to get rid of y, so multiply the top by 5 and bottom by 2. \[ 5(-3x+2y=31)\] \[2(4x-5y=-46)\] Resulting in: \[-15x+10y = 155\] \[8x-10y=-92\] Simplify \[-7x +0y= 63 \] You can now solve for y

Luigi0210:

*Solve for x
