EpicLeo:

X is Multiplied to '5x' So Divide -4 by 5 to Get -0.8 This Is Your X Coordinate on the X-Intercept Do Not Divide by the 2 in 2y Because You Are Finding X-Intercept The Answer is (-0.8, 0)

surjithayer:

divide by -4 \[\frac{ 5x }{ -4 }+\frac{ -2y }{ -4 }=1\] \[\frac{ x }{ \frac{ -4 }{ 5 } }+\frac{ y }{ 2 }=1\] \[\frac{ x }{ -0.8 }+\frac{ y }{ 2 }=1\] which is of the form \[\frac{ x }{ a }+\frac{ y }{ b }=1\] where a and b are intercepts of x & y respectively. intercepts of x=-0.8 or put y=0 5x=-4 \[x=\frac{ -4 }{ 5 }=-0.8\]
