ok y is it that in history they dont tell u the tru stuff for black history until u ask a black person
I don't know for sure... I think it's either because they don't know most of that history, or they just don't want you knowing.
Yea, that'd make sense, your dad probably knows more about it than your teachers do. And yes white people did. and still do.
true
Mostly it's because of the teacher or because most of the people we learn about are caucasian so the teachers just choose to keep repeating and teaching us all of the same things over again when really they should also be the ones learning about it.
When I say "it" I mean black history. In honesty history is us: People. We just choose not to learn about each other. We will never really know "our" history until we know who we are as people.
ok ok makes since
Yeah glad I could help.
There is an elective for Mexican history and black history in our school, but history is mostly about the entire world and there's not enough time for every race to be talked about so they'll brush over it
And I find it kinda ironic, because I've asked Abt 50 different black people to name 2 things about black history most people answered Rosa parks and MLK jr. No one even answered with Fredrick Douglass or brown vs board
because they don't want you to know all the cruel stuff that was done to black people.
