lilbart:

You bassically multiply 2 with x and 9. which will get you 2x+18=18, then you subtract 18 from both sides, which will get you all the way to 2x Did that help?

Arieonna:

like a first step divide both sides by 2 and get x+9 = 9 subtract from both sides 9 and in this way will get the x value easy
