Oh the days of the summer sun When the sea waves used to laugh, and the children would run When the beach would be so full, and the sand so ever warm We feel different, away from the norm We build castles, collect seashells While they splash in the water, they hear the whales The sun tans out pale skins, and we feel so tames but yet so free Those fun summer times are where I long to be But when the night tumbles, the warm air turns cold We hear tales of whisper, tales of the untold The lies spread like wildfire, breaking humanity, and trust Our old fun summer times, now into dust I guess our lesson is learned The real truth is what we have always yearned For the old summer times, have only brought us lies And will break are big hearts, and leave us empty with cries.
