1. Code talkers are basically people who used a language that barely anyone could understand in order to communicate with their fellow soldiers during a conflict. A popular example of this would be the Navajo code talkers from the year 1942. Approximately 29 random Navajo men were selected to make a code out of the complex Navajo language. 2. Freedom riders were a group of civil activists who rode interstate buses into segregated Southern states during the year 1961. These people were protesting against segregated buses. As a result of their efforts, three years later the Civil Rights Act of 1964 abolished any form of segregation in the United States. 3. Trench Warfare: This is a popular method used back in the earlier days of America, and is no longer used today. Soldiers would hide in trenches that they dug out in order to protect themselves from heavy fire from their enemies. However, as more advanced warfare began to pop up, this method of protection would soon become useless. Hope this helps some, someone already gave one of the explanations
